The main difference between commercial and domestic environments is of course that in a commercial setting people are there to work, and therefore productivity is paramount. This is one of the areas where LED Lighting is particularly beneficial.

Why Lighting Matters
The key requirement of lighting in a commercial setting is to provide the right lighting conditions necessary for employees to perform tasks to a high standard. In an office environment dominated by PC screens, that of course means working at their screen.
It is known that working in front of a screen for eight hours a day brings with it health risks. When employees experience eyestrain, headaches or migraines, it is almost inevitable that performance and productivity will suffer. The worst case scenario is employees taking costly sick leave due to poor working conditions.
In other commercial settings such as busy hotel or restaurant kitchens, good lighting is arguably even more important. The correct luminance to enable staff to perform food preparation tasks to a high standard, and to do so safely, is critical.
